Those who have chosen to visit this section, you should prepare for something different. My grandfather was the best cook in my family. He taught me to make the most of what I have. I have taken that advice into everything I do. I am a do-it-yourself person. Like most of the things on here, they have been done simply and are budget-friendly. They also have room for using your imagination and making it your own.
Another of my grandfather’s philosophies is to, as much as possible, have things that serve more than one purpose. For example, Goulash and Lasagna can be made with leftover spaghetti sauce. Pantry ingredients and tools will also be multi-purpose. Since I cook from scratch, most recipes have simple ingredients. If you have not already guessed, I am a person who loves to cook from the comfort of my home. I am not a chef.
In conclusion, I hope that you find your oven, refrigerator, and crockpot becoming your best friends. No matter what recipes you try, expect some failure. I have been cooking for more than fifty years now and sometimes things still don’t turn out right. However, sometimes what I thought to be failures, turn out to be the best love recipes. Please leave a comment on what interests you about being a home cook and share.
