The New Beginning

Hello again, My name is Merry Sunshine. When I started this blog, we were just coming out of the pandemic. So began our life of the “the new normal”.

My new normal has been a great change but not in the way most people would think. My lifestyle before and after, has remained much the same. The major difference between my life before and after is where I live. When this blog began, I was living in a two-bedroom apartment and now I have been blessed enough to own a two-bedroom home.

My adventure for the better part of the past year and half has been fixing up my home. This statement would, for most people, bring to mind paint, carpets and other such decorations. This stage came for us too but at a much later date. We were blessed enough to be able to purchase an older mobile home. To say that she is a fixer upper would be an understatement. Please do not misunderstand, we went into this adventure with our eyes wide open. It has been a long hard road but anything worthwhile always is. Things are starting to wind down and the house almost finished.

In the past couple of months, I have been debating whether to continue to write. While I still hold with the policy of no politics or religion here, I will say that I do have a higher power. I would also suggest that if you don’t have one, get one! I don’t need Mr. Bill, but that doesn’t mean the man didn’t have some good ideas.

It seems that my latest adventure has greatly expanded the things that I have to say. In addition to the sections I already have, I am going to include sections on DIY home repairs and container gardening. The home that I bought is on a lot that was in as bad shape as the house. It will be a few years before it would be safe to eat anything planted in the ground.

So, grab a friend and come along on some new adventures. I have to say a big thank you and I love you so very much to my daughter, Fairy, the greatest helper my higher power could give anyone. I hope the things I share with you will empower and enlighten you in this time of “the new normal”.
